The New NiSi V7 100mm Filter Holder System has undergone a series of improvements after researching and listening to what photographers wanted.
The lock pin is now a single mechanism for ease of use, and includes a thumb wheel for locking the holder on any angle whilst out in the field, whilst the polariser is now mounted to the main adapter ring with a Point To Point Quick Install system, similar to a lens hood bayonet system.
The V7 is now completed with the new TC Polariser. The new polariser offers natural, true to life colour, whilst being Nano Coated to aid cleaning and avoiding lens flare, just like all NiSi filters. With 99.5% polarisation, the True Colour polariser removes reflections, allowing natural colour to be captured whilst all removing the yellow cast associated with polarisers.
A new cap has a hard front shell with a rubberised outer edge making removal much easier. We listened to our users to deliver what we believe is the most advanced filter holder yet. And we redeveloped the case in line with our new design ethos.
It is made from aviation-grade aluminium with single element processing by CNC machine. This V7 kit comes complete with an ultra-slim 86mm True Colour polariser and 4 adapter ring for most popular wide angle lenses (67mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm). A matte black frosted finish on the surface helps to minimize reflection. With the unique rotation wheel design, the CPL filter can be rotated independently via a cog on the back of the filter holder. Also included are a Soft Pouch and V7 Lens cap.
The new lock pin features a sturdy spring loaded pin for easy fitting and removal of the holder with a knurled thumb wheel to lock the holder in any desired position. And for additional peace of mind, the wheel is housed within a ‘cage’, an extension of the frame body, just to ensure it cannot get accidentally unlocked.
It features superb built quality, Aluminium design and supports 3 x 100mm filters with a circular polarizing filter in any combination. The V7 has no vignetting at 16mm on a full frame camera with lenses such as Canon EF 16-35mm f / 2.8L II USM, the Canon EF 16-35mm f / 4L IS USM, the Sony FE 16-35mm f / 2.8 GM, the Sony FE 16- 35mm f / 4 ZA OSS, the Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f / 4 G ED VR, the Nikon AF-S 17-35mm f / 2.8 D ED. It is also suitable for some 15mm wide lenses, and even the Nikon 14-30 f4 S lens, when the filter holder is reduced to two slots. Equivalent DX / APS-C lenses are 10-11mm.
